The Denso Case – Morocco Supply Chain

Consolidation hub and priority management

In an international supply chain, the challenge is not just speed, it’s coordination. Aligning suppliers, inventory, and operational priorities is what makes the difference.
For Denso, the need was to manage inbound flows to the Moroccan production plant in a structured way, ensuring full visibility and enabling fast, informed decisions on shipments.

The goal: Centralize logistics flows to ensure production continuity and optimize shipments through priority-based management.

Sector:

Automotive

Scope:

International supply chain and extra-EU flow management

Partnership period:

2014 – present

From context to solution

The production facility in Morocco operates within a complex and interdependent supply chain, characterized by:

  • Multiple suppliers distributed across different geographic areas
  • Extra-EU shipments with customs management
  • Requirement for absolute punctuality in supplies
  • Variable flows linked to production needs

In this scenario, component availability and control of logistics flows become key factors for production stability.

Operational management involved a high level of complexity:

  • Coordination of shipments from multiple suppliers
  • Need for a single consolidation and control point
  • Management of different contractual agreements
  • Continuous visibility of available stock levels
  • Definition of shipping methods based on actual production urgency

The goal was not to speed up everything, but to ship what is needed, when it is needed.

A collection hub was activated within our warehouse, transforming it into an operational control center for flows destined for Morocco.

Operating model:

  • Direct delivery of goods to the hub by suppliers
  • Or coordination of pickups managed by our team

Hub functions:

  • Centralized coordination of logistics flows
  • Document management and export/customs support
  • Unified control over inbound goods, stock and shipments

The warehouse does not operate as a transit point, but as a decision-making center of the supply chain.

Visibility and stock control

Each inbound shipment is recorded, verified, and updated daily.

The client has constant visibility of:

  • available quantities
  • entry dates
  • updated stock status

This transparency enables fast, planned decision-making, reducing reactive interventions and unnecessary urgencies.

The centralized control allows shipments to be activated based on actual production needs.

Structured priority management

Transport modes are selected according to different priority levels:

  • air freight
  • express solutions
  • dedicated road transport
  • standard road transport
  • planned sea freight

This approach ensures that only what is necessary is shipped immediately, while other batches are consolidated to optimize flows.

Our tailored operational approach transforms logistical challenges into scalable, reliable processes. Request a consultation to structure your supply chain more effectively.
